Long Nguyen Tan

I am a final-year Computer Science student at the National University of Singapore, specializing in Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence. My academic journey is generously supported by a full-ride scholarship and various grants from NUS. My research focuses on advancing NLP and AI methodologies to build socially aware, ethically grounded models that enhance diagnostics, enable personalized interventions, and ensure fairness in high-stakes decision-making environments.

Previously, I was at ImpriMed, Raffles Medical Group, Sustainable and Green Finance Institute, and Energy Studies Institute.

I am deeply thankful to the mentors who have guided me along the way, generously sharing their expertise and insights. If you are interested in exploring NLP research and would like to connect, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Miscellany

  • I have a passion for travel and cultural exploration. I’m also a fan of Vietnamese delicacies like Cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese iced coffee), Mỳ Quảng (Quảng-style noodles), and Bún Bò Huế (Hue-style vermicelli soup — it's not Pho!).
  • As a proud native of Quang Nam, Vietnam, I invite you to learn about its rich heritage, including three UNESCO-recognized sites: Hội An Ancient Town, Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary, and Cù Lao Chàm Biosphere Reserve. In Vietnamese, Quang Nam means the land open to the South, symbolizing its historical role as a gateway to diverse cultures.
  • I am committed to supporting orphans and children in difficult circumstances through Cap La Yeu Thuong (Leaf of Love). If you’re able, any donations to help provide for these children are greatly appreciated.
